Day 01 :

Arrive in Blainroe Golf Club, Wicklow – just 3.5km south of Wicklow Town. Blainroe’s cliff top location affords some spectacular views of the Irish Sea with Mount Snowdon in Wales featuring regularly as a backdrop during the summer months. Looking westwards up the narrow valley you have the Wicklow Mountains which give Blainroe its own micro climate and a beautiful location for year-round golf.

The 18 Hole, Par 72 Course measures 6175 meters, opened in 1978 and carries the prestigious Hawtree & Son design signature. In 2005, Martin Hawtree, son of the original architect, redesigned the Course. This redesign included new sand-based greens, new tee-boxes with additional greenside and fairway bunkers. Blainroe is now recognised as one of the finest coastal parkland golf courses in the south-east of Ireland.

Martin Hawtree has been involved with such prestigious Courses as Royal Birkdale, Sunningdale, Trump International Scotland, Doonbeg Links, Lahinch, Portmarnock, Dooks, The Island, Fontainebleau and Vilamoura (Millennium).

Day 02 :

Arrive at Arklow Golf Club – known as South Wicklow’s beauty and adjacent to the Irish Sea, this traditional links offers a superb vista for golfers. The course was formed by Hawtree & Taylor in 1927 and has evolved with the aid of inputs from Eddie Hackett and in recent times Eddie Connaughton. The links has been described as a hidden jewel and the Southern Region of the Irish PGA held their 2001 and 2002 Championships on this links.

The superbly located clubhouse overlooks the tranquil and panoramic view of this superb golf links with its meandering fairways and rugged sand dunes set against a backdrop of the Irish Sea.

Accommodation in Arklow Bay Hotel.

Day 03 :

Arrive at Woodenbridge Golf Club – Surrounded by rivers and mature forests, Woodenbridge Golf Club is situated just south of the village of Avoca in Wicklow, where the Avoca and Aughrim rivers meet.

Woodenbridge was described by the legendary Joe Carr as “Ireland’s Augusta” and “The most scenic golf course in Ireland, a hidden gem”.

The Patrick Merrigan designed Woodenbridge Golf Club is a Par 71 (72 for ladies) parkland course. The beautiful Avoca & Aughrim rivers come into play on no less than 10 holes, each providing unique challenges for players of all handicaps.

Some of the finer holes include the 437 yards 6th, the stunning, but dangerous par 3s at 8 and 17 and the magnificent par 5 18th which begs the brave to flirt with danger from the tee.
