Itinerary

1 :

Your guided journey on board one of our luxury coaches (free Wi-Fi provided), takes you to the north eastern coast of Ireland. After a brief comfort stop (Toilet Break) @ Castlebellingham Services our first stop (Photo Stop Only) is Dunluce Castle, of Game of Thrones fame. Dunluce Castle is a ruined medieval castle located on a cliffs edge in Co. Antrim. The castle is only accessible via a bridge connecting it to the mainland. Early Christians and Vikings were drawn to this location and here also stood an early Irish Fort. More recently, Dunluce Castle was the filming location in the epic series Game of Thrones as Seat of House Greyjoy, the great castle of Pyke. You will get the chance to disembark the coach to get the perfect picture to remember this thoroughly enjoyable day out.

2 :

Next stop on your tour is where we ask the question; Giants or Science?, when you visit the majestic interlocking basalt columns known as The Giants Causeway. The rock formations are known to have formed after a volcanic fissure some 50 – 60 million years ago.

But this may not be the case…. Our legend has it that Irish giant Fionn mac Cumhaill (Finn MacCool) was challenged to fight the Scottish giant Benandonner and the causeway is a result of this tussle. This comes from the Fenian Cycle of Gaelic Mythology. You will have to visit to decide!!

3 :

Our final stop of the day is to the former linen capital of the world, Belfast City also known for being the birthplace of the ill-fated Titanic. Here you will learn of the rich industrial & political past of this now young, vibrant city. We will have a quick photo stop at Titanic Museum (no entry) along with a panoramic tour of the city including murals of West Belfast and Shankill Road. During your free time you can visit City Hall, Titanic Memorial Garden, have a coffee in the many café’s or indulge in some retail therapy. You will depart Belfast on our express service back to Dublin.
