Discover the very best of Ireland and Scotland on this beautifully paced 14-night self-drive journey, combining Ireland’s medieval heritage, spectacular Atlantic coastline and lively cities with Scotland’s legendary lochs, dramatic Highlands and captivating capital.

Begin in Kilkenny, one of Ireland’s most charming medieval cities, where winding streets, historic landmarks and magnificent Kilkenny Castle provide a wonderful introduction to the country. Continue south to Cork, a vibrant city with a strong food culture and an ideal base from which to experience the character of Ireland’s south.

Travel onwards to County Kerry for two nights amid some of Ireland’s most celebrated scenery. Explore Killarney National Park, discover the spectacular Ring of Kerry, and enjoy the mountains, lakes and rugged Atlantic coastline that make southwest Ireland so memorable.

Continue north along the Wild Atlantic Way to Galway, where two nights provide a more relaxed opportunity to experience Ireland’s west coast. Explore Galway’s colourful streets and traditional music scene, with time to venture into the magnificent landscapes of Connemara, known for its mountains, lakes and picturesque villages.

Travel east for a final night in Dublin, Ireland’s lively capital. Discover its Georgian streets, historic landmarks and famous pub culture before returning your Irish rental car and continuing to Scotland.

Fly independently from Dublin to Glasgow. Your flight between Ireland and Scotland is not included and is to be booked directly by the client. On arrival, collect a separate Scottish rental car and travel to the beautiful shores of Loch Lomond for your first night in Scotland.

Journey north through the magnificent scenery of Glencoe to Fort William, spectacularly positioned beneath Ben Nevis. From here, continue towards Scotland’s west coast and cross onto the magical Isle of Skye.

Spend two nights on Skye, allowing time to discover the island’s dramatic mountains, rugged coastline, waterfalls and picturesque villages. Explore highlights such as the Trotternish Peninsula, Portree and the Cuillin landscapes, with plenty of opportunities to simply enjoy the extraordinary Highland scenery.

Alternative Highland Option – Inverness

For clients who prefer a more classic Highland touring route, the two-night Isle of Skye stay can be substituted with two nights in Inverness. From Fort William, travel through the Great Glen alongside Loch Ness to Inverness, with two nights providing time to explore Loch Ness, nearby castles, historic sites and the surrounding Highland countryside.

Whichever route is chosen, continue south through the Highlands to Pitlochry, a charming Victorian town surrounded by beautiful countryside and renowned for its whisky heritage.

Conclude the journey with two nights in Edinburgh, providing a relaxed finale in Scotland’s captivating capital. Explore Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and atmospheric Old Town, while the additional night allows more time to enjoy the city’s museums, restaurants, Georgian New Town and vibrant cultural scene.
